There is not a single law that says unmarried
couples cannot stay together or book a hotel room. This is not all. Refusing to let out a hotel room to someone
because of their marital status is a violation of fundamental rights.

city as the hotel’s location, some hotels do not allow such bookings.
There are countless incidents where innocent
couples are arrested from hotel rooms. The Police arrest them without any valid
reason. In a lot of cases, such couples are even blamed for engaging in
prostitution.
WHAT
IS THE HOTEL POLICY REGARDING UNMARRIED COUPLE STAY
According to new policies,
there is a law that must be followed by every hotel. The law states that the
unmarried must be above 21 and they must carry a valid ID proof to get a room
in hotel.

There is no legal definition of live in
relationship and therefore the legal status of such type of
relationships is also unsubstantiated. It is an arrangement
of living under which the couples which are unmarried
live together to conduct a long-going relationship similarly as in
marriage. No specific law recognizes a live in
relationships in India

uncomfortable or uneasy questions. When you check into the hotel, all they will
ask you for a valid identity proof.
Please note that both of you will need to
carry a valid government ID proof. This is only for security purposes. Also,
both of you must be above the age of 18.
